  • Jan Lauryssen and Dylan Derdaele win the final round of the Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux, ahead of their Belgium Racing teammates Sacha Norden and Michael Cool.

  • Third place for YDM-Racing with Evren Yondem and Jarne Geussens who confirm their good form.

Circuit Zolder, October 15, 2024 – The final round of the Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux concluded in spectacular fashion at Circuit Zolder, with Jan Lauryssen and Dylan Derdaele claiming victory for Belgium Racing. Their teammates, Sacha Norden and Michael Cool, secured second place, while YDM-Racing's Evren Yondem and Jarne Geussens rounded off the podium in third.

The race also served as the finale of the Belgian Endurance Championship (Belcar), where Lauryssen and Derdaele not only won the final round but also clinched the Belcar Endurance Championship title. Having already secured the Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux crown in the previous race, the duo's win cemented their dominance in both competitions.

What an adventure, after the racing incident in the first corner,” Jan Lauryssen and Dylan Derdaele said after the race. “For a moment, we thought our chances for a good result and the Belgian title were gone, but the car was undamaged, and we were able to start a comeback race. It ended in second place overall and first place in the Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux. With this, we can call ourselves champions in Belcar and champions in the Porsche Endurance Trophy Benelux. Winning races is one thing, but championships are and will always be much harder, which is why we are enjoying this even more!

In second place, Cool and Norden delivered a strong performance, ensuring Belgium Racing's double podium finish. The young talents of YDM-Racing, Yondem and Geussens, impressed by taking third place, both in the race and overall in the championship standings, just behind Belgium Racing’s champion duo and Filip Teunkens from Q1 Trackracing, who claimed second overall.

Speedlover, with Rik Renmans, Wim Meulders, and Gilles Renmans, finished the race in fourth, followed by Mick and Tom Meurrens of MM Racing, who secured fifth. The top five teams all raced in the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (Type 992).

In the GTB class of the Belcar Endurance Championship, Arthur Peters and Kenny Herremans, driving for Tip Top by NGT in a Porsche Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport, took sixth place and clinched the GTB title.

The final race at Circuit Zolder was held under sunny autumn skies, with packed grandstands witnessing the exciting conclusion of a thrilling endurance season.
